Licensed officials, governed by the New Jersey Division of Local Government, and are regulated by New Jersey State Statutes. New Jersey State Statutes charges the Tax Collector with collecting funds needed to fund local schools, municipalities and county governments. Specific functions include the collection of taxes, generation of tax bills, enforcement through penalties and interest, managing the redemption of tax liens, conduct tax sales for prior year delinquent taxes and financial reporting.

Anytime prior to the Tax Sale, the Tax Collector will receive payment of the amount due on the property with all interest and cost incurred by cash, certified check or money order, no personal check. Please contact the collectors office for the full amount necessary to be removed from the tax sale. Please note the amount on the tax sale list does not include current interest which must be collected in addition to the amount on the tax sale list to have parcel removed prior to the tax sale.
In the event the owner is on active duty with the military, the collector should not be notified immediately.
