During this time, Tax payments can be made by mail, online* or dropped off at the 24 hour drop box to the right of the main entrance of Town Hall at 95 W. Veterans Hwy.

The Mayor and Council have extended the Grace Period on the May 1, 2020 tax quarter to June 1, 2020. Payments for the May tax quarter must be received in the Tax Collectors office on or before June 1, 2020 to avoid interest. Payments for the May tax quarter received after June 1, 2020 will incur interest at the rates of the Municipality back to May 1, 2020 due date until paid in full.

The Tax Collector's office is located at 95 West Veterans Highway. The normal hours of operation are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The Tax Collector is responsible for the billing, collection, reporting and enforcement of municipal taxes for the Township of Jackson. Tax bills are mailed annually in July and covers the final half of the current year and the preliminary taxes for the first half of the following year.

Property taxes are due on February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1. Failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt you from paying taxes or the interest due on delinquent taxes. The Township does permit a 10 day grace period. Please be advised that the State of New Jersey does not allow the Tax Collector to acknowledge postmarks, therefore taxes must be received in the office on or before the 10th however, if the 10th falls on a weekend or legal holiday, you have until the next business day to make payment. All payments may be made by cash, check, or money order.

As a statutory officer of the State of New Jersey, the Tax Collector is obligated to follow all the State Statutes regarding property tax collection including billing, due dates, interest on delinquent tax payments and tax sale procedures.
